Garden marygold "Dragon"
Pot marigold "Dragon" - Calendula officinalis.
Exquisite super-double calendula!
The petals of its large flowers have a double color: inside they are very delicate, like peach, and outside they are rich orange. The flowers do not lose their romantic appeal for a long time, and will enchant you with newly blooming buds.
Unpretentiousness to growing conditions makes calendula an indispensable plant for garden decoration, it is equally good both in a solo performance and in small group plantings.
Sowing: April - for seedlings (for planting on a balcony), May - in open ground. 2-4 weeks after germination, the plants are thinned out or planted at a distance of 20 cm from each other.
Any garden soil is suitable for calendula, sunny or semi-shaded location.
Care: regular watering, feeding. The first feeding is carried out a week after planting seedlings or thinning, then they are fed every 10-14 days with a complex mineral fertilizer that provides the necessary nutrition for flower crops. To prolong flowering, wilted inflorescences are removed.
Flowering: from the end of June until frost.
Calendula goes well with blue ageratum and delphinium.
